Lesson on understanding the parabola, and graphing the parabola using its parts: directrix, axis of symmetry, focus, and vertex. Parabolas are represented in the forms of (x-h)^2 = 4p(y+k) if the parabolas are open upwards or downwards, and (y-k)^2 = 4p(x+h) if the parabolas are open to the right or to the left.
