Lesson 02: Performing the Order Of Operations in Simplifying Numerical Expressions

06/20/2016

Lesson on simplifying algebraic expressions using the order of operations. Left to Right Method is used when given only subtraction and addition, or multiplication and division in the expressions. When given a combination of the mathematical operations, PEMDAS will be necessary in simplifying using the order of operations.

0:28 2 +3 -- 5 + 6 +7 + 20 = ?
1:29 25 / 5 x 9 / 15 x 3 = ?
2:48 20 -- 4 x 3 + 4 = ?
4:01 30 / 15 + 2 x 4 -- 3 = ?
5:14 (2^2 +1)^2 + (100/5 + 3) = ?
6:28 3^3 -- 7 + (2x3) = ?
