Lesson 11: Simplifying Trigonometric Identities

07/15/2016

Lesson on simplifying trigonometric expressions/equations using the trigonometric identities. Trigonometric expressions/equations are sometimes made up of different trigonometric functions and sometimes with different degrees. These trigonometric functions have corresponding trigonometric identities. Use these trigonometric identities to simplify the expressions/equations.

1:06 tanXcosX
1:47 secX/cscX
2:45 (cos^2 x + sin^2 x)/cosx
3:36 (csc^2 x) (cotx) -- cotx
4:44 sect/tant -- tant/(1+sect)
8:14 2cosx + cotx
